Services Community Experience

There is amazing nature only an hour away (43 km) from San Jose in Nacientes. This a beautiful place of cristaline waters, primary forests, and great flora and fauna. Here you will find out what rural San Jose looks like and will be able to share this experience with the people of Tabarcia and Palmichal. You will discover that here is a calm and simple way of living and that the people are very kind. You will get to know how to cultivate coffee, oranges, and other plants. You will be tasting the different fruits of Costa Rica while learning about Nacientes and the process of making coffee.

During you community experience, you will take a look at community organization in how to preserve natural resources and the determination of public institutions and companies to protect the basin of the Negro and Tabarcia Rivers. The sustainable strategic plan.

The strategic plan consists of a things like protecting the water and the forest, conservation, protecting the forests, and flora and fauna. It is a nature friendly production and will be able to have a closer look at the work of ADESSARU. You will have the opportunity to learn with pig farmers about their farms, production of biogas and biofertilizer, and the production of vegetables through organic agriculture and other methods.

The ADESSARU association puts at your disposal ample natural resources such as its infrastructure, comfortable accommodations, meetings, trainings, country tours, cozy hostel rooms. Nacientes also offers a variety of activities to enjoy such as trail walks, observation of the primary forest, tours of waterfalls and natural ponds, and walks through the agricultural farms, orange juice producers, and the coffee production. Throughout these activities you are able to observe the Huetar culture.
