Our accommodations are in Pamichal, Acosta, at just 43 km from La Sabana park, and less an hour trip from San Jose.

Nacientes Palmichal is at 1325 meters above sea level and has a privileged weather, between 15 C and 25C, amazing green scenery, with ancient trees and the Tabarcia river can be enjoyed all year long.

The trail will take through beautiful views of the always green plains and mountains that surround San Jose, you can also can take a look at the houses builded in traditional way that encompasses gardening and fruit trees, and also stop by the art and craft stand of the indigenous people of Quitirrisí.

There´s a regular bus services from San José, with the possibility of taking another bus that will take you to the environmental school. The access is appropiate for all kind of car.

How to get here?

Bus: Take the Contrasuli bus service to Palmichal, at the Coca-cola bus stop, that wil take you to Palmichal de Acosta´s school, in front of this school there´s a mango tree where you should take the Periferica bus that will get you to San Pablo of Palmichal 800meters away from the Enviromental School Naciente Palmichal.

By car: Take the Próspero Fernández highway, from La Sabana park and drive to Puriscal. 9km before Santiago de Puriscal at the crossroad take the left road to Tabarcia once you get there keep driving 3km east to San Pablo of Palmichal where the Enviromental School Naciente Palmichal is.
